"Freedom is always and exclusively freedom for the one who thinks differently." (Rosa Luxemburgo)

I've never been into blogs or twitter or any tecnological utility. I've always been kind of nostalgic about how things were done in the past, how letters were properly written with inch. I don't have a blackberry or iphone and i love writing with my hand. I don't know how to draw on the computer.

But i have to say i'm quite enjoying the freedom that this blog is giving me; freedom to write anything i want at any time without having to be approved or waiting for it to be published.

I think freedom is our ego, our maximum goal. But apparently is something from the world of desires, something that we'll never be able to pursue completely. We are attached to a system and even though if we would break it's rules, if we would escape from the laws that dominate us, the forces that dictate what we can or cannot do, we wouldn't be free at all. We would have to deal with our body's limits. We cannot change our height, our proportions, our DNA; that's in charge of the Nature Laws. Our body belongs to "the system".

But in the end the only thing that has the ability to be free is our soul. Our mind. Our thoughts.
Descartes used to say that our extension (body) and thoughts (soul) act with independence from each other. "The human body is mechanic, but the man has as well a soul which can act freely in relation with the body". This is why the human is a dual being. The goal, actually, is that the reason becomes in charge of the control.

Rosa Luxemburgo's extension was owned by the system which repressed her. She could not be free as i would had dreamt her to be ("jerut" means freedom in hebrew). But her spiritual reality pursued it's objective; to express her thoughts, her ideal world and fight for it. Fight for a world of rights and morality and humanity and FREEDOM, in a time where military forces would suppress any free mind.
Don't let anybody suppress yours. And don't try to change your body, it has always belonged to nature. Don't lose weight, don't starve, don't have a nose job, don't have a boob job, don't change your eyes color, don't change your skin color, don't try to be the boss of it cause it's a lye. The only thing you should focus on is your spirit.

Must books to read:
"1984" by George Orwell
"Sophie's world" by Jostein Gaarder

Good luck!!

A drawing a day keeps the doctor away!

It helped me keeping with my daily balance.
A drawing from the inside which is not an instant moment like a photo, it represents a period of time embodied on a sheet of paper.
Look for the german artist Tina Berning with her book "100 girls on cheap paper" (which i bought on a Williamsburg store). I felt very identified with her. Simple drawings of women made in probably 10 or 20 minutes. There I can literaly see where her hand has gone through; lines and shadows and colors and brights.
These are some of mine:
